Gisborne Branch AGM 2010
The Gisborne Branch AGM will be held on Monday 9 August 2010 from 11.00am at the Winston's Bar (Poverty Bay Club), 38 Childers Road, Gisborne followed by lunch. Gisborne Liquor Policy
The Gisborne District Council is currently reviewing its liquor licensing policy. HANZ submitted both written and oral submissions, giving our recommendations that hours are not to be dictated but assessed on a case by case basis. The proposed mandatory 1-way-door is replaced with an undertaking to work with the industry to find local solutions to identified problems. Restaurant style licenses are not to be treated differently to any other on license, club style licenses have hours that are aligned with identifiable club activities.
Hawkes Bay Hospitality Awards 2010
The Hawkes Bay Branch has again supported both financially, and with management expertise, the Hawkes Bay Hospitality Awards. A great night was had by all and it was fantastic to see HANZ members well represented among the winners and finalists.
