Buller Branch Meeting
The Buller branch meeting was on 23 March at the Denniston Dog. The branch discussed the proposed Blanket Trespass Protocol. Jeanette Swift was advised by the branch to progress with a draft document to present to the group at the next meeting. Swift will meet with Sean Judd, NZ Police in the interim.

Please diarise the AGM which will be on Wednesday 21 July at the Westport Motor Lodge. HANZ CEO, Bruce Robertson will be attending the AGM meeting as guest speaker.
Westland Branch AGM 2010
The Westland Branch AGM will be held on Tuesday 20 July at 4.00pm in the O'Connor Function Room at the Beachfront Hotel, Hokitika with HANZ CEO, Bruce Robertson attending as guest speaker. Drinks will be provided at the conclusion of the meeting.
We have also arranged dinner at the Ocean View Restaurant for 7.00pm that will be subsidised at $15.00 per member (three course meal). Please RSVP to Westland Branch Secretary, Jeanette Swift by Friday 16 July of your attendance to the AGM and/or the dinner by email: jeanette.swift@hanz.org.nz or phone 0800 500 503 to assist with catering arrangements.

Westland Branch Meeting
Westland Branch held a branch meeting on 30 March. Turnout was fantastic and the branch spent much time discussing the potential legislative changes affecting hospitality.
The branch would like to hold a public meeting with the local MPs/Councillors regarding the reforms. In the interim Bruce Robertson has sent a letter to all the Members of Parliament – a copy of the letter can be viewed in the member login area under Fornightly Forum - 10 May 2010.
When we are aware of the government intentions and timelines we will progress with the request from the branch to attempt to arrange a meeting with the stakeholders.
