The Association holds an annual conference which is a not to be missed hospitality event. As well as offering members the opportunity to be updated on relevant issues, gain new ideas on how to run their businesses better it is also a fun packed three days with social events including the DB Experience, MYOB Celebrity Luncheon and Lion Nathan Awards Dinner where members always enjoy networking.  This year's Showcase is being held in Taupo from Tuesday 29 September to Thursday 1 October.

Trade Fair Expo – 29 and 30 September 2009

The Hospitality Association Conference and Trade Expo is attended mainly by HANZ Members, invited guests and industry representatives. The Members attending are normally the decision-makers from their establishments. The Conference also runs on Thursday 1 October.

The Trade Expo will run along our established format as outlined below, commencing Tuesday 29 September:

Tuesday 29 September
5.30 pm official opening (for conference delegates)
7.30 pm (approx) Trade Expo closes for the day

Wednesday 30 Seotenber
10:30 am to 2:00 pm (for conference delegates, invited guests and open to industry non-delegates)

The Trade Expo timing is ‘short and sharp’ and there are no other conference events scheduled for its duration. Every effort is made to encourage conference delegates to spend time around the Trade Expo, and a Trade Expo questionnaire is made available for delegates. A cocktail function will take place from 5.30 pm on Tuesday in the Trade Expo area; likewise morning tea and lunch on the Monday.

The Trade Expo will also be promoted in the greater Dunedin area to generate interest from within the industry, the public and non exhibiting trade personnel.

So what are you going to get and what will it cost?

• one site in the trade hall (approx 2.4m wide x 1.8m deep)
• delegate questionnaire to encourage people to circulate
• one complimentary delegate conference registration to the business sessions, and including either
- the fun outing on Wednesday evening 15 October
or
- the black tie awards dinner on Thursday 16 October
• an expected attendance in excess of say 400
• the cost is $1,195 plus GST
