The Hospitality Association of NZ is delighted to announce the appointment of Scott Necklen to the position of National Operations Manager. Scott has recently returned to New Zealand after eight years abroad, and has a varied background in hospitality and tourism management, and business consulting. Qualified in hospitality and management Scott was Rooms Division Manager at Wairakei Resort before taking on the role of General Manager of an Auckland based PTE. On moving to Sydney in 2000 Scott balanced consulting projects with part-time lecturing at the International College of Tourism and Hospitality Management.
More recently Scott led a change management programme with the National Trust (a leading UK heritage tourism provider with over 3-million members) designed to place the customer at the heart of the business and develop greater commercial understanding. He joined MSB Consultancy as a Senior Consultant in 2005 where he worked with blue chip clients, including National Express, Gulf Air and the National Trust.
